The fourth edition of the Research4Life Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) will run from 26 April until 28 May 2021. Participants will find out all about using Research4Life and its five programs: Hinari, AGORA, OARE, ARDI and GOALI. Users can register before 12 April to join our free, five-week course.

  • Discover scholarly literature and how you can use it.
  • Get tips on searching relevant resources for your discipline.
  • Learn how to successfully market your library within your institution and region.

Course contents

The course aims to give users the necessary skills to get the most out of their access to Research4Life. It also includes training for librarians and information specialists to help them promote Research4Life in their institution.

Topics covered in the course include the scholarly communication landscape, information literacy skills and advocacy and capacity development strategies. Additionally, the course provides information tailored to Hinari, AGORA, OARE, ARDI and GOALI users.

The MOOC consists of a series of lessons, with several quizzes and a final exam. Additionally, there are live webinars and group discussions. After completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance or achievement.

Registrations will close on 12 April.
